The Monroe Boys Varsity Soccer team won their annual  Monroe Invitational Soccer Tournament  at Custer on Saturday with 3 victories over Ida, Trenton and Charyl Stockwell High Schools. 

The game scores were 6-0, 8-0 and 9-1. It was an entertaining day of soccer before the rigorous SEC schedule gets under way next week.

Talen Swinkey led the scoring with 7 goals on  the day with J'von Miller and Xander Middleton contributing  5 goals each. Ashton Walker had two goals and Jovanny Gallegos, Brian Palmer and Noah Stein all opened their accounts for the season. Miller, Swinkey, Gallegos amd Isaac Langerman each had 3 assists on the day.

The day was notable for some excellent team play and several memorable goals.

Both keepers, Braden Setzler and Nik Heringhausen, recorded a shut out in goal. Vince Bonanni, Trevor Mann and Logan Janes turned in solid performances in all three games.
