PIONEER HIGH SCHOOL: 3
Monroe Boys' soccer produced one of their best performances of the season against a very strong Ann Arbor Pioneer before falling 3-1. Monroe took the lead early when a Colin Charnock free kick broke to Caleb Blackwell who fired home. Pioneer were stung into action and scored three times before half time. After the break Monroe continued to defend with determination and discipline and kept the second half scoreless.As the game progressed the Trojans confidence grew and Austin Dunn hit the post and Xander Middleton went close with a header. Final score 1-3.
Monroe now 8-6 for the season.
