The Monroe High varsity soccer team pushed their record to 4-0 on the season after beating Airport 5-2 on Monday. The Trojans got off to a great start as Andrey Houck opened the scoring early in the first half. Logan Amato doubled the lead after tucking home a beautiful cross from Drew Prater. The Jets pulled one back before the half but Monroe came out flying in the second half. Both Amato and Houck added second goals while Andrew Buchko scored the 5th goal for the Trojans. Jacob Myers and Mitchell Meier dominated the midfield while the defensive line of Carson Delben, Nick Janssens, Trevor Malik, and Ben Bellino provided the team with plenty of scoring opportunities.
