Monroe Boys' Soccer wrapped up their regular season with an encouraging 2-1 win over Ypsilanti Community High School on Monday night. Xander Middleton continued his recent goal scoring streak with two fine goals to take his season total to 17. The assists were provided by a clever pass from Isaac Langerman and Talen Swinkey who deftly chipped the ball over the Ypsilanti defense to set up Middleton.

Monroe sat on their lead in the second half as the visitors gained strength and eventually pulled one back. The Trojans responded and earned a succession of corners.J'von Miller went close and headed over twice but the team was unable to add to the scoreline.The only sour note was the early exit of Daniel Presa with a thigh injury. He has been exceptional at the heart of the defense all season but is expected to be be fit for Thursday's district game vs Bedford.

Monroe ended the season with a record of 11-10.
