The Monroe JV football team finished their season with a hard fought 28-20 loss against Riverview, dropping their season record to 4-5. Brendan Bacon scored all three of the Trojans touchdowns on the ground, while Xzander McCoy caught a two point conversion from Grady Brooks. Desmin Williams recovered a kick and Braxton Koerner, Josh Bedner, and Bacon played well defensively.

The Monroe JV football team evened its record at 4-4 with a 28-16 win against Bedford Saturday morning. The offensive blocking of Xzander McCoy, Josh Bedner, Ryan Bruck, Luis Medina, Braxton Koerner, Jackson Durell, Brendan Bacon, Julian Espinoza, and Malakhi Threatt opened up big holes for four rushing touchdowns, three by Keoni Snavely and one by Grady Brooks. Snavely also had a rushing two point converstion and Bacon had a receiving converstion from Espinoza. The entire defense played well in the win led by Bedner, Koerner, Threatt, McCoy, Snavely, Bacon, Snavely, and Davian Davis. The Trojans end their season this Thursday with an away contest versus Riverview.

The Monroe JV Football dropped its season record to 3-4 with a 33-20 loss to Dexter last Thursday. Keoni Snavely scored all three touchdowns (rushing) and added a 2 point conversion (rushing). Defensively Josh Williams recovered a fumble and Davian Davis recored a sack. The Trojans head to Bedford this Saturday for a 10am kickoff against the Kicking Mules.

Scoring touchdowns were Keoni Snavely (2 rushing), Brendan Bacon (rushing), and Julian Espinoza (interception). Malakhi Threatt scored two rushing 2pt conversions. Defensive standouts were Grady Brooks (interception), Threatt, Bacon, Xzander McCoy, and Shane McDonald.

The Monroe JV football team evened their record at 2-2 last night with 38-0 win at Ann Arbor Skyline. Scoring touchdowns were Keoni Snavely (2 Rushing), Brendan Bacon (Rushing), Malakhi Threatt (Rushing), and Desmin Williams (Rushing). Blake Rectenwal and Tavin Parkhurst also ran the ball well, while the offensive line had their best game of the season. Scoring two point conversions were Threatt (Rushing), Grady Brooks (Rushing), and Julian Espinoza (Reception from Brooks). Defensive standouts were Shane McDonald (Fumble Recovery), Xzander McCoy (Tackle for Safety), Threatt, and Davian Davis. Josh Williams and Tim Tisher were standouts on Special Teams.

The Monroe JV football team dropped their second straight with a 26-20 loss vs. Ypsi Lincoln, bringing their season record to 1-2. Grady Brooks & Brendan Bacon scored rushing touchdowns, while Keoni Snavely and Julian Espinoza played well offensively. Malakhi Threatt recovered a fumble for a touchdown, while Bacon, Snavely, and Espinoza played well defensively.

The Monroe Junior Varsity football team lost to Ann Arbor Huron 30-16 to even their season record at 1-1. Desmin Williams and Grady Brooks scored rushing touchdowns, while Keoni Snavely also ran the ball well. Two point conversions were made by Brooks (rushing) and Julian Espinoza (reception from Brooks). Defensive standouts were Malakhi Threatt, Xzander McCoy, and Shane McDonald. The Trojans will play their first road contest of the season next Thursday as they travel to Ypsi Lincoln.

Scoring leaders were Keoni Snavely (2 Rushing TD's), Julian Espinoza (Rushing TD, & Grady Brooks (2pt Rushing Conv.). Desmin Williams also was an offensive standout. The defensive standouts were Xzander McCoy, Malakhi Threatt, & Shane McDonald. The Trojans will take their 1-0 record into next weeks home contest against Ann Arbor Huron.
