The Monroe Junior Varsity football team won their season opener last night 20-8 against Jackson. Scoring leaders were Keoni Snavely (2 Rushing TD's), Julian Espinoza (Rushing TD, & Grady Brooks (2pt Rushing Conv.). Desmin Williams also was an offensive standout. The defensive standouts were Xzander McCoy, Malakhi Threatt, & Shane McDonald. The Trojans will take their 1-0 record into next weeks home contest against Ann Arbor Huron.
