The Monroe boys swim and dive team got off to a great start Saturday at the Woodhaven Warrior Invitational.  The team placed 2nd overall finishing ahead of long time downriver rivals Woodhaven, Wyandotte, and Monroe county foe Dundee.  The team had many lifetime best swims and had numerous top five performances.  The meet started off with a second place finish by the 200 Medley Relay team of Flo Lenhard, Devin Hoydic, Luke Geftos, and Gavin Redden posting a time of 1:44:96.  Geftos continued the fast swimming by placing 2nd in the 200 Free with a time of 1:59.92.  Freshman Jackson Taft finished 2nd in the 200IM with a time of 2:09.54.  Gavin Redden finished 5th in the 50 Free with a time of 23.68.  Flo Lenhard finished 2nd in the 50 Free with a time of 22.85.  Caleb Standifer finished 5th in Diving with a score of 149.60.  Jackson Taft won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 56.95.  Devin Hoydic finished 2nd in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.13.  Luke Geftos finished 2nd in the 500 with a time of 5:29.68.  The 200 Free Relay team of Jackson Taft, Nick Burger, Gavin Redden, and Luke Geftos finished placed 2nd with a time of 1:38.47.  Flo Lenhard finished 2nd in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.90.  Devin Hoydic won the 100 Breastroke with a time of 1:05.11, winning the event for the fourth strait year.  Finally, the 400 Free Relay team of Flo Lenhard, Lukas Blonairz, Jackson Taft, and Devin Hoydic finished 2nd with a time of 3:32.60. The Trojans will swim Tecumseh in a SEC crossover meet on Tuesday.
