CHELSEA HIGH SCHOOL: 8
The 8th grade football team went to Niehaus Field yesterday and earned their first victory of the season 30-8 over Chelsea. Grifin Rippee led the offensive attack by running for three touchdowns and a 2 point conversion, and also passed for two 2 point conversions. Other offensive scorers were Keoni Snavely (rushing td), Desmin Williams (2 point conversion reception), and Brendan Bacon (2 point conversion). The Offensive line of Logan Caudill, Tanner Collett, Justin Hernandez, Carlos Perry, and John Hernandez blocked well all night, while the defense held Chelsea to minimal yardage. Collett, Perry, Snavely, and Bacon played well defensively. The Trojans take their 1-2 record back to Navarre Field next Tuesday for a showdown with Saline.
