The Monroe girl's Track & Field Team finished 7th at the MHSAA Regional meet on Friday 5/21 @ Saline.
7 girls came home with medals on the day: the 4x100 relay team of Zoe Woodfill, Isabella Seger-Wagasy, Matley Rose, and Megan Kane finished 8th. Viktoria Bloniarz was 6th in the 3200m run. Kamryn Bice finished 3rd in the shot put and won the discus, qualifying her for the Division 1 State Finals 6/5 in East Kentwood. Meredith Soule also qualified for the State Finals in two events: coming in 3rd in 100m hurdles (breaking her own school record with a time of 15.20), and winning the 300m hurdles (breaking her own school record with a time of 44.54). This concludes the season for the majority of the team, with the exception of freshmen, who will compete in a freshman-only meet at Dundee on Thursday 5/27.
