The Monroe girl's track and field team finished 5th at the SEC Championship held at Bedford High School on Friday 5/14. With the warm weather, the girls ran well, getting 16 new individual personal bests on the day, as well as season best times for all 4 relays. Scoring for the Trojans today were: Savannah MacPetrie (7th in discus), Megan Kane (7th in 100m hurdles), Lauren Wagner (3rd in pole vault), Meredith Soule (5th in 200m, 3rd in 100m hurdles, 2nd in 300m hurdles), and Kamryn Bice (1st in discus and 1st in shot put).
The team has a quick turn-around, as they compete Saturday 5/15 at the Mason Invitational, and are then off until next Friday 5/21 for the regional meet at Saline.
