On Monday, the Monroe softball team lost to SMCC 13-4. In the second inning, SMCC put 7 runs on the board, and the Trojans were not able to recover. After falling behind 10-0, Monroe scored 3 times in the bottom of the 6th, but were unable to capitalize on that momentum. Monroe's record is now 0-2. The Trojans host Dexter on Wednesday in their SEC opener.
