The Monroe Jr. Varsity opened up the season against the Saline Hornets. Monroe had a strong defensive first quarter but eventually were wore out by the deep , sharp shooting hornets. The Trojans were led in scoring by two freshman, Buddy Snodgrass (9) and Lucis Rzepa (8). Drew Scznsny and Brayden Richard battled all game underneath compiling 18 rebounds.
