Having to void three weight classes due to the flu cost the Trojans and led to a split in pair of SEC matches. Monroe beat Adrian 45 - 26, but lost to Saline in a heartbreaker, 34 - 35. Jarrod Kimble (130) and Jacob Smith (171) each had a pair of pins for Monroe and Logan Gonzales (145) also won twice.
Monroe is 18 - 8 overall and 3 - 2 in the SEC Red conference.
