The Monroe girls brought their A game to Whitmore Lanes to face a good Pinckney team. After splitting the baker games and being in the lead 6-4, Monroe was on fire in the first regular game. The team averaged 202 as a group, shooting 1,010, a season high and school best in at least the last three seasons. The Trojans got games of 181 from Gracey Smiley, Averie Pilette, 204, Mary Tompkins, 181, Jordyn Lussier, 206, and Lauren Meagher, 238. The ladies ran out of gas a little in the second game and ended up taking two points plus two more for the grand totals, losing the game but clinching the match 19-11. Up next for the ladies is our own Monroe Baker Invitational Saturday. Keep up the great job team.
