Carlson scored first with a long range shot in the middle of the first half. Monroe responded within a few minutes of the second half. Emily Eshenroder made a nice cross from the left, the ball came off Becca Pace and was finished off by Saloni Joshi. Strong performance by strikers Rowan Stamper and Saloni Joshi. Midfielders Claire Charnock, Anna Tedora, Alexis McMahon, and Chloe Pabin were winning the ball and linking up play. The veteran defensive unit, centered by Kyleigh Carter were able to limit Carlson to 6 shots which Allie Younglove saved with ease. It was a great team performance, so many players played with passion and executed our pattern of play. It’s not a win, but a much better result than last years 0-4 defeat.
