Announcements and Important Events
A plan has been approved for the participation of middle school football this year. All players that are interested in participating should report to Navarre Field at 5pm on Monday September 28th.
All students must have a physical to participate. Students registered last year at Monroe Middle School that had a physical on file with the school office can carry over that physical as valid for this school year per MHSAA's guidance due to the COVID19 pandemic. Incoming MS students will need to turn in a current, compliant physical (the form for the physical can be located on the www.monroetrojans.com website under the Forms & Links tab).
The pay to participate fee for the program this year will be $25 made payable to Monroe Public Schools via check or money order. Pay to Participate envelopes will be given to each participate on Monday, the 28th. All P2P must be made by the second practice.
Safe practices will be followed in accordance to MPS guidelines in regards to COVID19 and social distancing. Coaches & players must wear facial covering at all times.
All players will have their temperatures taken and asked screening questions before every practice. Players showing any signs of illness will not be allowed to participate.
Parents are asked to drop their players off and pick them up outside of the gate at Navarre Field. Parents are not spectators and should not plan to be on the field premises during the practice times.
Players must bring their own water (No water trough, no sharing)
No locker room usage (equipment will be taken home every day)
Hand sanitization will be practiced before and after each practice.
All equipment used will be sanitized after each practice.
