SALINE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 36
The Monroe Middle School 8th grade football team traveled to Crabtree Field and dropped its season opener to Saline 36-14. Both touchdowns were scored by Asher Simmons (1 Rushing & 1 Receiving from Grady Brooks). Brooks scored a rushing 2pt conversion. Defensive standouts were Julian Espinoza, Torran Simmons, Asher Simmons, & Brooks. The Trojans are 0-1 and play next Tuesday @ Navarre Field vs. Ypsilanti Community. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30pm.
