BEDFORD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 10
In a back-and-forth game, the Trojans held the lead 9-7, but Bedford put up 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take a 10-9 lead, and the Mules held on for the win. For Monroe, Alana Aulph and Allie Hall had big days at the plate, collecting 3 hits each. Aulph added a homer in the game. Avery Collett added two hits, including a long home run to left field, and Ava Chapman and Brynn Reece had two hits apiece. Hall and Collett pitched well, trying to hold off a hot-hitting Bedford lineup. "It was a great ballgame! We played well, but needed just a couple more hits to win that game" according to Monroe coach Jim Davis.
