LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL: 7
The JV Trojans came from being down 7-0 after the first inning to win the game by plating two runs in the top of the 7th to start the season 1-0. Monroe played Ypsilanti Lincoln on their new baseball field and started slowly in the first of 2 games at Ypsilanti Lincoln. The hero of the Trojans were their two relief pitchers. Brandon Bice threw three scoreless innings and Devin Brossia shut down the explosive Rail splitters for the final 3 innings while picking up his first JV win of the season.
The hitting was led by Carter Drummonds who was 3-4 at the plate, and Brady Welch who was 2-4 as well. The Trojans are 1-0 after game one.
