The Trojans lost a hard fought battle 31-24 to Lake Orion. Carson Goodnough got the Trojans on the board first with a 30 yard field goal after a 17 play, 10 minute drive. After a 3 and out Monroe was back in business and Maleik Linton punched in a TD from one yard out early in the second making the score 10-0. Lake Orion would score the next 10 points but with 27 seconds left Jalen Johnson housed the kickoff to give the Trojans a 17-10 lead going into half. The third quarter was all Lake Orion as they tied the game up at 17. They would then take the lead in the 4th but Maleik Linton hit Johnson on a 68 yard bomb to tie it at 24. Lake Orion took a 31-24 lead with 4 minutes left and the Trojans last drive stalled at the Lake Orion 6 with 25 seconds left. Jared Banks ran for 169 yards and Linton passed for 134. Johnson had 100 yards receiving and Hayes Brooks had 34. Defensively Brooks, Jace Clark, Aj Harris, Linton, Johnson, Cole Sulfaro, Cody Scsavnicki led the way. The Trojans will find out their week 1 opponent for the playoffs on Sunday.
