BEDFORD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 6
Monroe played its best game of the season and won impressively over Bedford 41-6. The Trojans played well on both sides of the ball racking up 452 yards of offense on only 32 plays and allowing 180 yards and 6 points. Jalen Johnson led the way offensively with 155 yards rushing and 98 receiving to go along with 3 TDs. Maleik Linton rushed for 44 yards and 2 TDs while throwing for 158 and a TD on 5-7 passing. Jared Banks had 75 yards rushing and a TD. Cole Sulfaro and Hayes Brooks each had 30 yard receptions. The offensive line of Cross Jacobs, Lucas Ellis, Joe Schnorberger, PJ Brown, Armando Flores and Brooks did a great job up front. Defensively the Trojans were led by Brooks 16 tackles and AJ Harris' 2 interceptions. Jace Clark played his best game of the season defensively. Sulfaro, Johnson, Wyatt Head, Cody Scsavnicki, Linton, D'ron Huggins, Lance Theisen and AJ Billingsley also played well defensively. The Trojans will be back in action this Friday with a playoff berth on the line against Ann Arbor Pioneer.
