RIVERVIEW COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL: 3
The Trojans (8-4; 6-0 SEC Red) bounced back to earn the split with Riverview in the DH, winning Game 2 by a score of 6-3. Ryan Sieler picked up the win and Owen Yount closed Riverview out over the last 3 innings to earn the save.
Offensively, Gavin Young recorded his first Varsity hit (1-3, with a run batted in). Blake Lambert and Noah Miller each drove in 2 runs and Kellen Roberts scored twice to lead the Trojans.
Monroe's season continues on Monday, May 3 at Blissfield (4:30).
