HURON HIGH SCHOOL: 0
In the nightcap, Monroe won 10-0 (5 Innings) over Ann Arbor Huron. Caleb Winkelman tossed the 4-hit complete game gem. He also knocked in 3 runs with 2 hits to help his cause.
Many other Trojans helped offensively in the winning effort. Noah Miller led the team with 3 hits. Braden Setzler played excellent defensively and added 2 hits (including his first on varsity), 2 runs batted in and a run scored. Kellen Robert's knocked in a run on his first Varsity hit, too. In addition, Owen Yount and Trevor Vitale scored a pair of runs apiece.
As a team, we played a clean game defensively (no errors) and made some very smart secondary plays.
The Trojans finish their 3-Game set with Ann Arbor Huron on.Friday, April 23 at 4:30 at Red Davis Field.
