HURON HIGH SCHOOL: 3
Monroe (1-2) downed Ann Arbor Huron 11-3 in the opener of its twinbill with the River Rats. Parker Welch earned the win as he hurled 5 strong innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5.
The Trojans opened the game up with a 6-run 3rd inning. Today, our bats came alive and we jumped on their top pitcher early. Offensively, Ryan Sieler (first varsity hit), Ashton Elmer, and Owen Yount each had 2 hits and scored 2 runs apiece. Garrett LaBeau and Noah Miller (2 runs scored too) recorded their first Varsity hits.
