TECUMSEH HIGH SCHOOL: 4
The Trojans lost a heartbreaker in the bottom of the 7th. Monroe (8-22) held a 3-2 lead going into the 7th inning. It started off its half with a single but was unable to execute a sac bunt and a hit and run and came away with nothing. Tecumseh strung together 2 singles and a walk-off double to secure the 4-3 win. Evan Earnest pitched 6 strong innings and Carson Goodnough led the team with 2 hits. For Tecumseh, the win was bittersweet as it played the game in honor of A.J. Marry, a well-liked Tecumseh teacher who had passed away tragically over the previous weekend. Each Tecumseh team member wore blue socks (his favorite color) and the #13 jerseys (his number in football in college) to commemorate him.
