Monroe Boys soccer were defeated 5-0 at home by a talented Ann Arbor Pioneer side on Tuesday night. The Trojans fell behind early and were unable to keep the visitors at bay as they scored four times in the first half.

Monroe battled hard in the second half and restricted the Pioneers to just one more goal before the end. Monroe had periods of possession but struggled to break down the opposing defense. A few opportunities were created and Talen Swinkey had a good shot well saved by the keeper at the very end. A tough outing but a creditable performance against a very strong squad by the 7-3-1 Trojans. Next game vs Ypsilanti Lincoln (A) on Thursday September 21 at 7:00pm.
