Monroe boys varsity soccer fell into a hole early in their game against Saline at Custer Stadium.The Trojans were rocked by two goals in the first 10 minutes before Monroe steadied the ship and played solidly throughout the rest of the first half.In the second half Monroe repelled some early pressure but gradually gained confidence and had periods of quality possession as the half progressed. A late penalty for Saline was saved by keeper Braden Setzler to keep the score at 2-0. Norberto Flores Andrey Houck and Logan Amato all played well for the 8-5-2 Trojans.
Next game is against Jefferson at home on Saturday at 10:00.
