Monroe boys soccer team suffered a disappointing 6-0 loss to Ann Arbor Pioneer on Tuesday night. The Trojan squad struggled to adjust to playing on the turf and were undone by the pace of their opponents on the artificial surface The Trojans began positively but fell behind after 30 minutes and conceded another goal on the stroke of half time.The Ann Arbor team began the second half playing confidently and moving the ball swiftly before adding 4 goals in a 10 minute spell. Despite this the Monroe team dug in and to their credit did not give up another goal in the remaining 30 minutes. Both keepers Setzler and Poore made several excellent saves and Logan Tucker and Juan Jimenez played well defensively. Monroe next plays Saline on Thursday at 5:30 at home. This will be Teacher Appreciation night.
