Monroe boys' soccer team defeated a determined Airport squad 3-1. The game was played on a dry, bumpy field and the game was hampered by a strong wind throughout the game. Monroe struggled to adjust to the conditions and conceded a goal early in the game after an uncharacteristic error by the normally solid defense. Monroe battled back and scored a goal by J'von Miler from a smart pass by Mitchell Meier. Ht1-1

In the second half Monroe adjusted their style of play and manged to create numerous chances. Finally a long pass from Norberto Flores at full back found Miguel Diaz who calmly slotted the ball in the bottom corner of the net. J'von Miller rattled the post with a free kick shortly after that. With 15 mins left Xander Middleton broke away and was awarded a penalty after being brought down in the box. J'von Miller scored. A battling performance by the team in difficult conditions. Trevor Malik and Colin Charnock  played very consistently throughout the game. Monroe now have a 7-0-1 record.
