SALINE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 6
Monroe's 8th grade football team evened its season record to 2-2 by defeating Saline 28-6 last night at Navarre Field. Keoni Snavely had a big night with three rushing touchdowns. The offensive line of Thomas Brockway, Tanner Collett, Justin Hernandez, Carlos Perry, and Logan Caudill blocked well. Other Trojans that scored were Desmin Williams (Kick Return), Grifin Rippee (2pt. Conversion Rush), and Malahki Threatt (2pt. Conversion Rush). Defensive Standouts were Perry, Collett, Brockway, Snavely, William White, Brian Deitz, and Brendan Bacon. Collett recovered a fumble and Rippee had an interception. Monroe will play its last home game of the year next Tuesday vs. Pinckney (Pathfinder).
