HURON HIGH SCHOOL: 12
The JV baseball team picked up their opening day win by holding off New Boston Huron 13-12. Zack Kolberg and Ashton Elmer each had 3 hits in the game. Elmer a freshman had 3 doubles in his first JV game. Trevor Vitale and Tristan Bonk both had 2 hits to help out the Trojan offense. Tristan Panza and Caleb Winkelman pitched well in relief. Winkelman earned the pitching win for the 1-0 Monroe JV Baseball team. The second game was called in the third inning due to darkness.
