The Monroe High School girl's track and field team competed for the 2nd day in a row, this time at the Mason Invitational, where most of the Monroe county schools also competed.  The team came away with medals in all but three events, and managed 11 new personal bests on the day.  Collecting medals were the relay teams: 4th place 4x800 relay of Grace Finley, Ella Foshag, Ashlyn Mydloski, and Chloe Gunter.  The 4x400 relay of Bridgette Dudley, Ella Foshag, Grace Finley, and Viktoria Bloniarz was 3rd, as was the 4x200 relay of Zoe Woodfill, Isabella Seger-Wagasy, Matley Rose, and Megan Kane.  The 4x100 relay (same lineup as 4x200) was 2nd.  Invidual medalists were: Savannah MacPetrie (6th in discus), Megan Kane (4th in 300m hurdles), Matley Rose (3rd in long jump), Bridgette Dudley (2nd in 1600m), Viktoria Bloniarz (1st in both 1600m and 3200m), Kamryn Bice (1st in both shot put and discus), and Meredith Soule (4th in 100m, 1st in 200m, 1st in 100m hurdles, 1st in 300m hurdles).  Kamryn Bice was named Most Outstanding Field Event Athlete of the Meet, and Meredith Soule was named Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet.  Meredith also broke another school record today, running 15.34 in the 100m hurdles.

The girls have a JV meet at Ypsilanti Lincoln on Wednesday, and then the regional meet at Saline on Friday, which determines who will qualify for the state finals 2 weeks later.
