STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL: 3
In the 2nd game of their Saturday Double Header, Monroe lost a 3-2 heartbreaker to the Livonia Stevenson Spartans (7-2). Livonia Stevenson plated the winning run in the bottom of the 7th on a bang-bang play at the plate off of losing pitcher Garrett LaBeau.
Durke Venier had his first Varsity Hit, going 1-2 (Double) and a run scored. Caleb Winkelman also recorded his first Varsity hit in the defeat.
Monroe (0-2) next plays a DH at Ann Arbor Huron on Monday, April 19 in its first SEC Red action.
