STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL: 3
Monroe (0-1) fell behind the DeWitt Panthers (10-0 on the season) 2-0 on 1st-inning run-scoring singles by Grant Uyl and Bo Donaldson off of losing pitcher Parker Welch. Monroe battled but could not pull from behind, never tying up the game and falling by a score of 3-2.
In defeat, the Trojans were paced offensively by Ashton Elmer who went 2 for 3 (his first two varsity hits) with 2 stolen bases and a run scored. In addition, Trevor Vitale and Owen Yount each recorded their first Varsity base hits and Yount added a run scored and stolen base.
