Monroe Trojans Women Bowlers Earn Trip to State Finals!
The Monroe Trojans ladies finished in 3rd place at the Division 1, Region 6 event today in Woodhaven, MI. After some stellar bowling the team led throughout most of the day before a rough last game saw them slip to their 3rd place finish with 3,342 total pins trailing only 1st place Wyandotte by 38 pins and 2nd place Taylor by 36 pins. Bowlers today were Averie Pillette, Gracey Smiley, Nevaeh Newnham, Nataleigh Eagle, and Lauren Meagher. The team will be action tomorrow hoping to win a trip to the state finals in singles action. The state finals will be next Friday and Saturday, March 1st and 2nd at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, MI. Way to go ladies!
