GROSSE ILE HIGH SCHOOL: 1
Monroe Reserves traveled to Grosse Ile and mercy ruled them 13-1 after 5 innings of play. Parker Welch pitched outstanding scattering 2 hits while striking out 7 batters in 5 innings. Parker not only pitched well he was 2-3 at the plate to help the Trojan hitting attack. Carson Goodnough, Caleb Parrott, Blake Assenmacher, and Wyatt Head all had two hits as the Trojans jumped out to a 5-0 lead early and never looked back. The Trojans improved their overall record to 19-3 and finished tied for the SEC league championship as well. The Trojans will finish the season out today at home vs. Chelsea in a crossover game with the SEC White Division. The JV team will play 2 games to wrap up their season at Red Davis Field. Game time is 4;00 pm.
