BEDFORD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 4
Monroe JV Baseball game ended after 4 innings in a tie 4-4 at Bedford due to inclement weather. The Trojans played uneven Baseball early on, but finally settled in and was playing well when the game was called due to Lightning. The Trojans were able to settle down due to some excellent relief pitching by Logan Kozbial, who threw 2 scoreless innings for the Trojans. The hitting was led by Blake Assenmacher who was 2-2 on the day and drove in one run as well. Adam Baltrip had a hit and one RBI as well. The defense was led by Carson Goodnough who turned a line drive catch into a double play to give the Trojans momentum in the game and end Bedford's chance to go ahead and win the game. The game adds a tie to the Trojan's Reserve record and it now stands at 15-3-1 overall and 6-3-1 in SEC league play.
