Monroe gave up a 1 run lead in the bottom of the 7th inning after Dominic Puccetti had to exit the game due to the pitch count limit. Leading 2-1 through 6 innings, Puccetti pitched a 3 hitter with 8 strikeouts. Matthew Hedges exucuted a suicide squeeze and then later scored on Christopher Winkelman's infeild ground ball for the Trojans 2 runs.
